Anker SOLIX not charging from solar? What to check
A shared port with a sliding cover, a voltage range that damages the station when exceeded, and the cable sold separately. The checks for every SOLIX station.
Anker SOLIX stations range from pocket-size DC units to whole-home batteries, and the solar rules change a lot between them. These checks cover all of them.
1. Voltage inside the range, and never above it
The Anker SOLIX C300 manual says the solar panel voltage should be 11 to 28 V, "otherwise it will damage the power station", and limits solar to 100 W from one panel. Bigger SOLIX stations take much higher voltages. Look up yours in the table below before connecting anything.
2. The port may be shared, and covered
On the C300 the solar input is also the car input, and a sliding cover means you can use either that port or the 140 W USB-C port, not both at once. If the cover is across the solar port, nothing is connected.
3. The cable is sold separately
The C300 manual says the solar charging cable is sold separately. Most panels end in MC4 plugs; you need the cable that matches your station's input. The checker names it for each pairing.
4. Temperature
The C300 manual gives a charging range of 32 to 104°F (0 to 40°C). It also shows a low-temperature alert icon and says to stop using the station until it disappears.
5. Too many panels in series
Panel voltages add up in Series Panels chained + to -. Voltages add, current stays the same.. A setup that works with one panel can exceed the limit with two, and cold mornings push it higher still. The cold-weather guide shows by how much.
