About RidgeWatt

A guide to power stations written by one person who reads the manuals.

I'm Saba. My day job is health and safety at a renewable energy company. Lithium batteries, solar installations, charging, heat and fire risk are things I deal with at work, not things I read about once.

I started RidgeWatt because the most common questions about portable power stations still have no clear answer online. Will this panel charge my station? Why does my solar input keep dropping to zero? How long will it run my fridge? The answers exist, but they are buried in manuals most people never open.

So I read the manuals. Every spec on this site comes from the manufacturer, with a link to the source. And because I build software for a living, I turn those numbers into tools that do the math for you.

What I won't do: rank a product because a brand paid for it, or say I tested something I didn't. When a link earns a commission, the page says so.

There is no team of writers here. If a page is wrong, it is my mistake, and I will fix it. Email [email protected].

How we verify numbers

Every spec on this site carries a small badge that tells you where it came from. There are three states, and you will see them next to every number, not just in a footnote.

From the manual
Read in the manufacturer's user manual or spec sheet. We keep a copy of the document and link to where the maker publishes it. These are the numbers the compatibility checker relies on most for voltage and current limits.
From the brand's page
On the brand's official product page.Usually weight, chemistry and surge ratings. Reliable, but marketing pages change and sometimes round. We upgrade these to "From the manual" as we get the documents.
Shop listing, not yet confirmed
Only seen in a store listing.Treat as approximate. Prices change often, so every price shows the store and the date we checked. If a panel's label values are only from a listing, the checker says so in its assumptions.

What we will never do

Affiliate disclosure

We may earn a commission if you buy through these links. It never changes a verdict.

Buy buttons on this site go to the brand's own store or to Amazon, and some of them are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the store pays us a small percentage. You pay the same price. The commission does not affect which stations we list, what the checker says, or the order of results. Where a page has buy links, this notice appears at the top of that page.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon buttons open Amazon's own search results for that model; the price you see there is Amazon's.

RidgeWatt is not affiliated with EcoFlow, Jackery, BLUETTI, Anker or any other manufacturer. Product names belong to their owners.

Corrections

Found a number that does not match the manual? Email [email protected] with the model and the page. Fixed pages show a new "last checked" date.
