Will the Jackery SolarSaga 100 Prime work with the Jackery HomePower 3000?

Yes. One Jackery SolarSaga 100 Prime works with the Jackery HomePower 3000: about 24.9 V on a 20°F morning against the station's 60 V limit, and about 99 W in full sun. Two panels: works (1 panel on DC8020 + 1 panel on DC8020), about 198 W.

Verdict

Works

1 x SolarSaga 100 Prime into the HomePower 3000 (1 panel on DC8020) stays inside 12 to 60 V and under 12 A, even at 20F.

Quick answers

Will the Jackery SolarSaga 100 Prime work with the Jackery HomePower 3000?

Yes. One Jackery SolarSaga 100 Prime works with the Jackery HomePower 3000: about 24.9 V on a 20°F morning against the station's 60 V limit, and about 99 W in full sun. Two panels: works (1 panel on DC8020 + 1 panel on DC8020), about 198 W.

Can I connect two SolarSaga 100 Prime panels to the HomePower 3000?

Yes, 1 panel on DC8020 + 1 panel on DC8020. That gives about 198 W.

What cable do I need to connect the SolarSaga 100 Prime to the HomePower 3000?

Needs an MC4 to DC8020 adapter cable.

Is it safe on a cold morning?

Panel voltage rises in the cold. One SolarSaga 100 Prime goes from 22.7 V on its label to about 24.9 V at 20°F and 25.6 V at 0°F. The HomePower 3000 accepts up to 60 V on the DC8020.

Rules we applied
  • Jackery HomePower 3000: solar input 12 to 60 V on the Solar in 1 (DC8020). Jackery rates this input by working voltage (Vmp), so that is the number we hold to the limit. We still warn when the cold-morning open-circuit voltage goes over it.
  • Cold raises panel voltage: we add 0.30% per °C below 77F (25°C), a typical figure, since this panel does not publish its own. At 20F one panel's 22.7 V becomes 24.9 V.
  • Current over the 12 A cap is safe: the station takes 12 A and you get fewer watts. We count only the capped watts.
  • Max 500 W on this input, 1,000 W across all inputs.
Assumptions
  • Cold-morning voltage uses 0.30% per °C, typical for crystalline panels. This panel's own value is not published.
  • Expected watts are the best case in full sun. Real-world midday output is usually 60 to 80% of that.
