Will the EcoFlow NextGen 220W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel work with the DJI Power 1000?

Yes. One EcoFlow NextGen 220W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel works with the DJI Power 1000: about 23.5 V on a 20°F morning against the station's 30 V limit, and about 184 W in full sun. Two panels: works (1 panel on XT60, Solar Panel Adapter Module channel 1 + 1 panel on XT60, Solar Panel Adapter Module channel 2), about 368 W.

Works

1 x NextGen 220W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel into the Power 1000 (1 panel on XT60, Solar Panel Adapter Module channel 1) stays inside 12 to 30 V, even at 20F. The station caps the current at 10 A.

  • The panels can push 11.9A but this input takes 10A, so the station caps it. Safe, you just lose some watts.
  • Solar needs the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT), sold separately: three XT60 inputs, each 12 to 30 V, up to 10 A and 200 W. DJI says each panel must stay under 30 V open-circuit, so most 100 W and 200 W 12 V panels fit one per input, never two in series.
  • DJI says the Power 1000 can take two adapter modules at once; one module gives up to 400 W.
Cables to buy
  • Use an MC4 to XT60 solar cable.

Quick answers

Will the EcoFlow NextGen 220W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel work with the DJI Power 1000?

Yes. One EcoFlow NextGen 220W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel works with the DJI Power 1000: about 23.5 V on a 20°F morning against the station's 30 V limit, and about 184 W in full sun. Can I connect two NextGen 220W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel panels to the Power 1000?

Yes, 1 panel on XT60, Solar Panel Adapter Module channel 1 + 1 panel on XT60, Solar Panel Adapter Module channel 2. That gives about 368 W.

What cable do I need to connect the NextGen 220W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel to the Power 1000?

Use an MC4 to XT60 solar cable.

Is it safe on a cold morning?

Panel voltage rises in the cold. One NextGen 220W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel goes from 21.5 V on its label to about 23.5 V at 20°F and 24.3 V at 0°F. The Power 1000 accepts up to 30 V on the XT60, Solar Panel Adapter Module channel 1.

Rules we applied
  • DJI Power 1000: solar input 12 to 30 V on the Solar in 1 (XT60, Solar Panel Adapter Module channel 1). DJI sets this limit on open-circuit voltage (Voc), so we hold the panels' Voc on your coldest morning to it.
  • Cold raises panel voltage: we add 0.30% per °C below 77F (25°C), a typical figure, since this panel does not publish its own. At 20F one panel's 21.5 V becomes 23.5 V.
  • Current over the 10 A cap is safe: the station takes 10 A and you get fewer watts. We count only the capped watts.
  • Max 200 W on this input, 400 W across all inputs.
Assumptions
  • Cold-morning voltage uses 0.30% per °C, typical for crystalline panels. This panel's own value is not published.
  • Expected watts are the best case in full sun. Real-world midday output is usually 60 to 80% of that.
